For those who are concerned about the technical foul count of Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic heading to the playoffs, worry no more. After all, per the NBA's rule, each player's technical foul count is reset to zero in the playoffs.

However, that doesn't mean the Mavs star can go back to being argumentative with the referees. As Callie Caplan of the Dallas Morning News noted, seven technical fouls in the playoffs will warrant a one-game suspension.

For what it's worth, Doncic accumulated 15 technical fouls in 72 games this 2020-21, putting him just one tech away from a $5000 fine and suspension. Fortunately, the Slovenian youngster managed to control his emotions and avoided getting another technical.

After the Mavs secured the fifth seed in the Western Conference, several fans grew concerned about his technical foul count. Some feared that the Los Angeles Clippers will take advantage of it in the playoffs in order to cruise through the first round.

Lucky for Mavs fans, that won't be the case.

Hopefully though, Luka Doncic will be able to tone down his demonstrative acts to referees and focus on the goal in the playoffs: win and beat every team that goes on their way.

With a healthy Kristaps Porzingis heading to the postseason, hopes are high that he and Luka can overcome the hurdle that is the Clippers and make a deep run in the playoffs–or even make the NBA Finals.

Luka is critical to the Mavs' success, and they can't afford to lose him even for just one game in what could be said as the most important time of the season.
