Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic could be suspended soon because of his technical fouls count. However, he promised Mavs fans that it won't reach the suspension point as he vowed to control his emotions better.

In his on-on-one interview with Malika Andrews of ESPN, Doncic admitted that it's not easy to hold back given how passionate he is to the game. But he understands the position they are in and how important he is to the Mavs, adding that getting suspended is “unacceptable.”

“It won't come to that. That's for sure. That's unacceptable, I can't do that,” Doncic said.

Luka Doncic already has 13 technical fouls, tying him with Los Angeles Lakers forward Carmelo Anthony for the most this 2021-22 season. It means he is just three technical fouls away from an automatic one-game suspension, which is pretty critical with just a few games left before the postseason.

The Slovenian's technical foul count will certainly be a hot topic as the season enters its final stretch of games. Doncic is in danger of getting suspended, and it's a scary thing to think about for Mavs fans.

Hopefully, though, he lives up to his promise and avoid getting more of such calls. The Mavs have a firm hold on the fifth seed in the West with a 36-25 record, but other teams could easily erase that if Doncic gets suspended.
