Dallas Mavericks big man Kristaps Porzingis is dealing with soreness in his right knee and some Mavs fans were hopeful the postponement of Game 6 of the Los Angeles Clippers series would help KP play in the rescheduled match.
However, based on what Mavs head coach Rick Carlisle is saying, it doesn't appear Porzingis is going to be available to play in Game 6, per Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News.
Well down the list of what's important, postponement of Mavs-Clippers until at least Friday and possibly Saturday gives Kristaps Porzingis an additional 24-48 hours to rehab his knee. Based on Rick Carlisle's words and tone yesterday, though, not sure that will make a difference.

These are Rick Carlisle’s comments yesterday about Porzingis’ injury. For those who are frustrated, either you’re expecting more from Carlisle/Mavs or me/we aren’t doing a good enough job of reporting what he says. pic.twitter.com/fzGdof1Zn3

The Mavs are down 3-2 to the Clippers. Kristaps Porzingis played in the first three games of the series before his right knee started acting up and caused him to miss the last two games. The 7-foot-3 center averaged 23.7 points and 8.7 rebounds while shooting 52.5 percent from the field, 52.9 percent from beyond the arc and 87.0 percent from the free-throw line in Games 1-3.
Porzingis tore his left ACL during the 2017-18 season with the New York Knicks. However, he dealt with pain in both knees during the 2019-20 regular season and now his right knee is ailing him at the worst possible time, as the Mavs try to extend their season with a win in Game 6.
The Mavs won Game 4 without Porzingis after storming back from a 21-point deficit thanks to Luka Doncic's magic. However, Dallas came back down to earth in Game 5, as the Clippers won 154-111 at the strength of Paul George's 35 points.
The Mavs need Porzingis in the lineup next to Doncic if they want to pull off the upset and beat the Clippers. KP's pain must be pretty bad if it's preventing him from playing in the postseason.
