The Dallas Mavericks' second-year star in Luka Doncic has been dominant all season. However, as of late, the 6-foot-7 Slovenian has struggled in one area and Mavs head coach Rick Carlisle has taken notice.

In the team's most recent game, a 112-107 loss to the Utah Jazz, Doncic lead the Mavericks with 25 points. On the other hand, the 20-year-old went just 1-of-5 from the line. This has been a trend for Doncic in the past few games.

In the last six games, the Mavs star is just 29-for-51 from the charity stripe (56.8 percent). Despite the slump where he's in, Carlisle isn't too worried about his star.

“He’ll be fine, he’ll be fine. We’ll work through it,” Carlisle said per Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News.

The Mavs head coach added that Doncic's free-throw problems were a mental issue and would be fixed.

Overall this season, Luka Doncic has been fairly reliant from the line. Getting to the charity stripe over nine times again, the second-year pro has hit 77.2 percent of his free throws — slightly above the league average of 76.9 percent.

Doncic has also boosted his free-throw percentage from his rookie season when he shot 71.3 percent from the line.

As far as his other statistics, Doncic has been far from average. Currently third in the NBA with 29.1 points per game, Doncic is also adding 9.6 rebounds and 9.0 assists per game while shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 32.2 percent from deep.

Luka Doncic's MVP-level season has vaulted Dallas to a 28-17 record which is good for sixth place in the Western Conference.
