On a recent episode of The Ryen Russillo Podcast, Dallas Mavericks guard Seth Curry likened Luka Doncic's approach to the game of basketball to that of his brother, Golden State Warriors All-Star Stephen Curry.

In a relatively short period of time, Doncic has managed to make a name for himself in the NBA. His progression from European play has been well-documented, and now the Slovenian-born star is leading the Mavs in the playoffs.

When asked about his favorite part of playing alongside Luka, Seth noted the joy that he brings to the game. He went on to say that it reminds him of his brother's mentality.

Via NBC Sports Bay Area:

“Just the joy he plays with,” the Dallas Mavericks guard said. “He's a young kid, and you can tell when he gets out on the floor, he just loves the game. Honestly, it's similar to Steph — just out there having a lot of fun.

“He puts on a show,” Seth Curry added. “He's special already.”

Doncic is indeed a special talent, as Curry noted in his discussion. He had 42 points in the Mavs' loss to the Clippers in Game 1 of their postseason matchup, which was the most ever by a player in his first playoff game. He then followed that outstanding performance with a 28-point effort as part of a 127-114 victory. As a result, the Mavs and Clippers are now locked at one game apiece in their first-round series.

Doncic had high praise for Steph back in December, recalling a practice the two shared:

“He's been in the league a long time, he's somebody that everybody looks up [to], everybody wants to play like him,” Doncic said of Steph, via NBC Sports. “I remember last year after the draft, I practiced once with him, and it was crazy. He couldn't miss. He can't miss.

“And that was like something I'll always remember — practice with him.”

Game 3 is set for Friday night at 9:00 p.m. ET, with TNT having live broadcast coverage.
