The Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks have been playing a home series if anyone has ever seen one. During the first six games of their Western Conference Semifinals series, the home team has won each game, mostly in convincing fashion. Well, that trend certainly took a serious turn in Game 7. The Mavs enter the locker room leading 57-27 at halftime. Yes, you read that right, Dallas has a 30-point lead at the break.

To make it that much more embarrassing for the Suns, Mavs superstar Luka Doncic is actually tied with Phoenix all by himself.

Doncic leads all scorers with 27 points in the first half on 9-for-12 shooting. He has knocked down four of seven shots from beyond the arc. His teammate, Spencer Dinwiddie, has also caught fire in Game 7. The Mavs guard has 21 points and has also hit four shots from downtown.

Meanwhile, the Suns are shooting an abysmal 10-for-41 from the field, for 24 percent. Devin Booker has not hit a single shot, going 0-for-7 in the first half. “Point God” Chris Paul is 0-for-4. They have a combined three points, all from the free throw line.

The game is not over. There is still an entire half to go. But this uphill climb might be one of the most difficult to climb. Not only does Phoenix need to find a way to score, they need to figure out a way to stop Doncic also.

Both of those things proved extremely difficult in the first half. The Mavs appear to be the better team and are doing it on the road.
