Jrue Holiday is one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA. However, that didn't stop Mavs star Luka Doncic from taking him for a ride with a flurry of dribble moves in overtime of the Dallas Mavericks-New Orleans Pelicans game on Wednesday.
With 25 seconds remaining in OT, Doncic had the chance to build on a two-point Mavs lead. After a vicious crossover and hesitation move, Doncic was able to get to the basket with ease.
However, with rookie sensation Zion Williamson blocking his path, Doncic kicked it out to German big man Maxi Kleber who unfortunately missed on the corner three.
Regardless, the Mavs came away with a 127-123 victory on Wednesday and were paced by a franchise-record 22nd triple-double from the Slovenian superstar. Luka Doncic finished with 30 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists in 41 minutes of play.
The win moved the Mavs to 38-25 on the season, as they now are just one game behind the Oklahoma City Thunder for the sixth seed in the Western Conference.
