Since last playing almost two months ago, Chicago Bulls guard Michael Carter-Williams is expected to get back in action on Monday when his team goes up against the Indiana Pacers.

The 25-year-old Syracuse product feels positive he can play in that game according to plan and also discussed what he can bring to his team once he returns.

“That's the plan, I believe. So hopefully we follow through with that.”

“I just want to bring positive energy. When I'm out there, be a leader on the floor — do the little things.”

“I've definitely been itching to get back on the floor, so I can't wait.”

After getting traded to the Bulls last summer, Carter-Williams has only appeared in three games for his new team.

His return could not have come more timely as the Bulls are currently in the midst of a tough stretch and have lost six of their last seven outings including a 119-100 loss on Christmas day against the San Antonio Spurs.

With his ability to play both guard positions, Carter-Williams is expected to provide a lift to his team's bench who are in dire need of offensive production. His playmaking skills will also come in handy as he can relieve Rajon Rondo, providing Chicago with another steady playmaker on the floor.
