A dark cloud has appeared on top of the Michigan football program yet again. Following his recent recruiting allegations that caused him to miss the first three games of the season, head coach Jim Harbaugh is under fire for the second time this year. Harbaugh and team staff member Connor Stalions are now under investigation for a sign-stealing cheating scandal.

Multiple reports surrounding the Wolverines and their alleged sign-stealing have surfaced the internet, but none have shown clear proof of the act. In a recently posted tweet from Adam King, there's footage showing Stalions on the Michigan sideline, conversing with Wolverine's defensive coordinator Jesse Minter. On the first drive of their rivalry matchup against the Ohio State Buckeyes, Stalions is seen eyeing the Buckeyes sideline and relaying information to UM coaches.

Stalions is currently suspended from the team and has been for the past few days, amid NCAA regulation guidelines. He's been with the team since May of 2022, hired as an off-field analyst. Following the infamous spotlight on the program, Harbaugh released a statement on his participation in this scandal.

“I do not have any knowledge or information regarding the University of Michigan football program illegally stealing signals, nor have I directed any staff member or others to participate in an off-campus scouting assignment,” Harbaugh said.

The Wolverines are currently ranked as the No. 1 team in the Big Ten and No. 2 in the country, with dominant wins across the board. They have yet to face a true test this season, but top-ten matchups against Penn State and Ohio State are around the corner. Michigan presented itself as a favorite to win the National Title this season, so it will be interesting to see how the NCAA handles this situation.
