Miesha Tate knows a thing or two about becoming UFC champion. The former UFC bantamweight champion believes Michael Chandler has what it takes but he has a choice to make.

Miesha Tate went on her radio show on Sirius XM and talked about Michael Chandler and his championship aspirations. She believes he has a choice to make if he's ever going to be successful.

“When Michael Chandler lost his fight in the UFC [to Charles Oliveira], I said that I did think he would be a [UFC] champion before all was said and done. I still think that is possible, but what I think Michael Chandler has to do is make a decision – are you going to continue being wildly entertaining or are you willing to settle for just entertaining, but being smart enough to become a champion? It’s all about minimizing risks. Champions are the ones who make the least mistakes.”

Michael Chandler will never be accused of being boring. The former Bellator champion has only had three fights in the UFC and all of them have been entertaining affairs.

Miesha Tate does make a good point. Michael Chandler has taken a lot of damage in the UFC so far and a lot of that has to do with his willingness to be entertaining and turn fights into bloody affairs.

He will have a decision to make for the future if he does want to become champion in the UFC. He has all of the skills, now it's about fighting smart.
