After bringing home the 43rd Ryder Cup title with a dominant win over Europe, this now gives the U.S. nine title wins at the historic tournament and they'll look to keep this momentum going at the next Ryder Cup. Even though it was a collaborative effort and the entire team did well, there were three standouts during the tournament who really were the difference makers for the US golf team.

Some of the best players in the game elevated their play at pivotal moments during the weekend long match to help the US come away with another title. Now that the US has overtaken Europe as the tournament champs, let's take a look at the three players who came up huge for the US during the 2020 Ryder Cup.

Xander Schauffele

Having outlasted Rory McIlroy after a rough opening day, Xander Schauffele put on a stellar performance for the US and started hitting on every hole while going toe-to-toe with one of the best to ever play the game. After going 3-1-0 overall, Schauffele made the most of his Ryder Cup debut and definitely proved that he could play a crucial role were he selected to play for the US in future tournaments.

Being partnered with Patrick Cantlay and Dustin Johnson definitely improved his odds of coming out on top against McIlroy, but he undoubtedly played his part to perfection and came through when the Americans needed it the most. With so much going for Schauffele, there's no denying he played a pivotal part in the US bringing home the 2020 Ryder Cup championship.

Colin Morikawa

As a five-time tour champion and winner of two majors, Colin Morikawa put his championship pedigree to work during the Ryder Cup when he went 3-0-1 overall and clinched the winning point for the US. Slowly but surely establishing himself as one of the best golfers in the world, Morikawa's performance was a huge plus for the Americans and was vital to them bringing home the title.

At just 24 years of age, Morikawa is already a bona fide superstar in the PGA and is only getting better with time. So to say that he was a big part of the US golf team's success at this year's Ryder Cup would be an understatement. Looking to add to his growing trophy case, Colin Morikawa came up huge for the US and helped them seal the W at the 43rd Ryder Cup.

Dustin Johnson

All tournament long Dustin Johnson  was absolutely unstoppable. Especially considering he was the first American to put up five points  since Larry Nelson back in 1979. After a poor showing at the last Ryder Cup, DJ redeemed himself in a major way and was undeniably the MVP for the US golf team at this year's Ryder Cup.

From winning team points alongside Morikawa and Schauffele to beating out Paul Casey in singles, DJ did it all and led by example as the US ousted Europe in dominant fashion to bring home the Ryder Cup title and re-claim their stake as the better golf nation. As Johnson continues to add to his Hall-Of-Fame resume, there's no doubting that he was the driving force for the Americans this time around.
