The Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers will continue the NLCS Monday night, as the Braves hold a 2-0 lead following back-to-back walk-off wins in Atlanta. It’s time to continue our MLB odds series and make a Braves-Dodgers prediction and pick.
The Braves have remarkably took a 2-0 series lead over the Dodgers in the NLCS after another walk-off hit in Game 2, this time from Eddie Rosario. Los Angeles burned through Max Scherzer in Game 2, as the veteran ace was unable to make it out of the fifth inning. He did not factor into the decision. Atlanta, on the contrary, saved their veteran ace Charlie Morton for Game 3 in Los Angeles. Morton pitched on short rest in Game 4 of the NLDS, but is now on full rest for Game 3. He will face Walker Buehler, who will look to help the Dodgers get what feels like a must-win Game 3.
Here’s how the bookmakers have set the Braves-Dodgers odds for Sunday’s game.

Why the Braves can win this game
Charlie Morton. Runs might be hard to come by in this one, so having Morton on the mound is massive. He's been stellar in the postseason throughout his career, and will look to put the Braves up a commanding 3-0 on Tuesday. Freddie Freeman is also very due to do something, as he is yet to record a hit in the series. Austin Riley will look to stay hot, after hitting the game-winning RBI in Game 1 and the game-tying RBI in Game 2. Freeman and Riley will look to power the lineup they helped carry all season as the series moves to the west coast.
Why the Dodgers can win this game
Walker Buehler was dominant this season for the Dodgers. Los Angeles will need the best version of him tonight vs. a scrappy Braves lineup. Los Angeles also needs to get its own stars clicking offensively. The Dodgers left 11 men on base in Game 2, they will simply need to get more of those base runners home to get back into this series. The absence of Max Muncy stings, but they have good enough depth that it can't be an excuse. Mookie Betts and Corey Seager will need to continue sparking the Dodgers lineup and hope the rest of the team follows suit. The Dodgers win tonight if they get Buehler's best stuff and the timely hitting they have often missed so far in the NLCS.
Final Braves-Dodgers Prediction & Pick
The Dodgers falling down 3-0 at home would be shocking. Last season, the Braves also had a 2-0 lead on the Dodgers in the NLCS (which was played on a neutral field in Texas due to COVID), so they aren't about to get comfortable either. Still, you have to feel like Los Angeles finds a way to back into the series with a win in Game 3.
