The Minnesota Twins and the Chicago White Sox will continue their four-game series on Tuesday night. It's time to continue our MLB odds series and make a Twins-White Sox prediction and pick.

Minnesota has been one of the most disappointing teams in the MLB this season. The White Sox, on the other hand, have lived up to the hype. They lead the AL Central by 8.5 games, the largest lead in any division in baseball. Chicago has also been hot recently, winning eight out of their last ten game and scoring a series victory against the vaunted Houston Astros. The Twins have gone 5-5 in their last ten, remaining competitive in almost all of their matchups.

Here's how the bookmakers have set the odds for Tuesday's game.

Under 9 1/2 runs (-112)

Why The Twins Could Cover The Spread

The Twins may not have a great record, but they're a dangerous team nonetheless. Minnesota's offense can come alive in any given matchup, as White Sox starter Dallas Keuchel knows.

Keuchel has faced the Twins twice this season, earning mixed results. In one outing he allowed six runs over five innings, while posting three earned runs over seven innings in his second appearance against Minnesota. Four hitters in the Twins' projected starting lineup own a batting average of .250 or above against Keuchel, making this a good matchup for Minnesota.

The Twins are also a better offensive team on the road. Their batting average takes a slight jump when they play away from Target Field.

Minnesota also has some reason to believe their pitching will hold up in this matchup. Starter Bailey Ober is slated to take the mound Tuesday. Ober has pitched against the White Sox three times this season, with his last outing against Chicago being his best. He pitched five scoreless innings and notched a win.

Why The White Sox Could Cover The Spread

Chicago comes into this game as one of the hottest teams in the MLB. They're firing on all cylinders, and I expect that to continue on Tuesday night. It starts with the lineup that has been one of the best in baseball so far.

The White Sox have scored more than four runs in six of their last ten games. They rank inside the top ten in the league in batting average, OPS, OBP, and slugging percentage. All of those statistics but batting average rise when the White Sox play at home. I doubt Ober will be able to replicate his previous outing against this lineup.

There's also reason to believe that starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel can perform well. Keuchel has improved his ERA to 3.82 in his last seven starts. The Twins are also significantly worse against right-handed pitching, with their team batting average dropping from .257 to .237. Minnesota isn't a bad offensive team, but they may be catching Keuchel at the wrong time.

Final Twins-White Sox Prediction & Pick

It's impossible to bet on the Twins here. The White Sox are a streaking team that will get to face a mediocre pitcher at home, while the Twins don't have much going for them besides their offense. Take the White Sox and don't look back.

FINAL PICK: Chicago White Sox ML (-139)
