Almost every day it seems as if Aaron Boone is asked about Aaron Judge's injury timeline. The New York Yankees manager tends to give a similar answer, with various positive updates but no strict timetable. Andy Martino of SNY revealed why Judge's timetable has been so cryptic, and shared how he believes the Yankees will announce the reigning MVP's return.

“I suspect that one of these days the Yankees are just going to drop a tweet that Aaron Judge is activated. He doesn't like public timelines but seems to be progressing nicely. Not sure which day but they'll try to keep it under wraps,” Martino wrote in a tweet.

This clarifies why the Yankees haven't been all that public in reference to Aaron Judge's potential return from injury. Judge apparently isn't a fan of public timelines. It's unclear why that is, and Yankees fans likely wish they knew exactly when the star outfielder will return. Nevertheless, based on Martino's tweet, it could happen unexpectedly and soon.

Aaron Judge's looming injury return

Yankees, Aaron Judge

The Yankees need Aaron Judge back on the field. They have struggled mightily without him, now sitting in last place in the American League East. New York's offense hasn't found any form of consistency since Judge went down with his injury in early June.

Judge was having another MVP-caliber campaign prior to suffering his ailment. He probably won't be able to contend for another MVP award since he's missed almost two months of action, but he can steer the Yankees towards the playoffs.

We will continue to monitor and provide updates on Aaron Judge's injury as they are made available.
