The Atlanta Braves have a lot to be excited about coming into this season, and one of those things is Ronald Acuna Jr. being healthy. Acuna is already showing why they should be excited, and why he's also ready for the World Baseball Classic after this grand slam in spring training against the Boston Red Sox.

This is a good warmup for Acuna as he is set to play in the WBC, and he noted that the one he played in three years ago helped his success with the Braves that season when he won the NL MVP.

“I think it helped a lot,” Acuña said via Mark Bowman of MLB.com. “There’s good hitting and good pitching and a lot of superstars playing. The last World Baseball Classic, I didn’t have a good Baseball Classic, but there’s a new Baseball Classic this year. So I’m excited.”

Acuna suffered a torn ACL in his left knee in May 2024, which was almost three years after he tore his ACL in his right knee. He came back during last season and played well, but this time around, he looks and feels like a different player.

“My body feels comfortable,” Acuna said. “My knee feels healthy {again}. I'm feeling healthy, too, and so, let's see what happens this year.”

That's good news for the Braves, who had a disappointing season that was due mostly to injuries. The Braves have already dealt with a few injuries before the start of the season, but the hope is that they can overcome them.
