Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout has never been big on collecting baseball cards, but he is having a change of heart thanks to his son.

In a rather amusing conversation while he mas mic'd up against the New York Mets on Sunday, Trout was asked on how he feels about opening packs of baseball cards nowadays. He admitted it wasn't his thing when he was young, but he is starting to get into it for his son Beckham.

Of course that collection features a lot of Mike Trout cards … because why wouldn't it?

“I didn't really collect cards but I'm starting to because I want to get a nice collection for my son…I'm collecting a lot of Mike Trout cards. I got a little nice binder for him,” Trout shared.

Sure enough when the Angels center fielder ends his career and looks back at the cards he has for his son, it will be one hell of a collection. We're also guessing there would be a ton of in-person autographed cards there and several one-of-a-kind stuff.

Hopefully, Mike Trout and his son Beckham have tons of fun collecting baseball cards. Though it would be interesting to ask which player cards Trout wants to collect with his son. Maybe his Angels teammate Shohei Ohtani is there? Or perhaps Wander Franco?
