This is really what baseball is all about. On Tuesday, Aaron Judge smacked a home run into deep left field at Rogers Center and a Toronto Blue Jays fan was generous enough to hand a young New York Yankees fan the ball, which brought him to tears of joy. Derek Rodriguez, named after the legendary Derek Jeter, immediately went viral.
Well, Judge was notified of the moment and made a point of meeting Rodriguez on Wednesday prior to the game, and boy, was it a special moment:

The youngster couldn't hold back the tears as he met one of his idols. What a gesture from the Yankees slugger as well to make the kid's day. It goes to show how genuine of a human being Judge really is. Even better? Judge invited Rodriguez and his dad to sit in the Judge's Chambers at Yankee Stadium when they play the Blue Jays next.
Unfortunately, though, the Yankees' 11-game winning streak did finally come to an end in a 2-1 loss but they still have the best record in baseball at 18-7. Judge went 0 for 3 with three strikeouts on the day, but he's still hitting .293 on the year with nine bombs already. New York begins a weekend series with the Texas Rangers on Friday.
