Former New York Yankees outfielder Clint Frazier took to Twitter to argue with some fans about him not being a Yankee anymore.

Frazier didn't have the greatest career in New York as he was dealing with some injuries including the concussion issue that he has had for some of his career. There were times where he still found success as he hit .267 for the Yankees in 2020.

Frazier tweeted that he will be continuing to wear number 77 for the Cubs. He also notes that he requested number seven but unfortunately it was taken. This was the first time he has ever asked for a number in his career. The Yankees do not allow players to ask for their numbers as well as some other strict rules that the organization has had for its entirety.

Somebody decided to respond to Clint Frazier saying “I'm glad this dude is not a Yankee anymore” and Frazier responded, “so am I.”

It's unfortunate how the ending of Frazier's career ended in New York. He was one of the fan favorites in the Bronx and many wanted to see him succeed. Both sides of the party didn't necessarily hold up to their end of the deal as the Yankees promised him to start left field but failed to give him that role. Frazier also didn't play great for the Yankees in his short time in New York which made it tougher for them to warrant him a starting spot.
