The New York Yankees are absolutely rolling right now and they'll get a big boost to their lineup against the Detroit Tigers.

Giancarlo Stanton, who was on the 10-day IL, has been reinstated after missing time due to an ankle injury.

Stanton has been one of the Yankees' best hitters this season. He's third on New York with an impressive .285 average in 40 games while slugging 11 home runs and driving in 35. He and Aaron Judge aren't just hitting for power in 2022, which is a very good sign.

Between the two, they've slugged 31 long balls. That's almost half of the Yankees' 77 bombs on the year, which lead the Majors. Stanton last played on May 24th against the Orioles, going 0 for 2 with one strikeout. The slugger left that game early with calf inflammation and it eventually turned out to be an ankle issue.

Stanton played 139 games last season after previously dealing with a flurry of injury problems in 2019 and 20′. His health will certainly prove to be a key factor in just how far the Yankees can go this year, especially if Giancarlo Stanton keeps swinging it well in the heart of Aaron Boone's lineup. NY resumes their three-game set with the Detroit Tigers on Saturday following a 13-0 win on Friday where Gerrit Cole tossed a gem.
