The San Francisco Giants picked up their second win of the season to close out their first series of the year when they took down the Miami Marlins at home Sunday, 3-2. Perhaps the victory was made even more memorable by the fantastic big-league debut of Heliot Ramos, who did not waste much time making an impact on the Giants.

“Best moment of my life,” he said. “It was great. After I got the first hit I was more relaxed and it was pretty good, honestly. I've been waiting for this moment so I just went out there and played and do what I do.”

Ramos went 2 of 3 in his first appearance in the majors and also scored a game-tying run in the bottom of the second inning that sent the crowd at Oracle Park. The outfielder, who was taken by the Giants 19th overall in the 2017 MLB Draft, made contact on his first swing for a single before being driven in for a run by a Mauricio Dubon double.

Ramos' performance added to the success the Giants' prospects are having early in the season, with Joey Bart hitting his first major league home run in San Francisco's 6-5 victory last Friday.

The Giants will now welcome the San Diego Padres for a three-game homestand.
