The Toronto Blue Jays have compiled the third-best record in the American League East this season, led by stars such as Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Kevin Gausman. However, the Blue Jays have been without the services of one of their better sluggers, Teoscar Hernandez, who was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique strain back in April. Ahead of their Saturday doubleheader against the Cleveland Guardians, the Blue Jays received a huge injury update on Hernandez, as per the team's Twitter account.

Hernandez has been activated from the 10-day injured list and he'll serve as the 27th man for the Blue Jays in their doubleheader against the Guardians. The 29-year-old had played in three contests during a rehab assignment with Single-A Dunedin, clubbing a pair of homers.
Article Continues BelowThe Blue Jays star was off to a promising start at the dish through his first six games, as he had posted a .961 OPS with a home run, three runs scored and three RBI. Per Josh Goldberg of the Score, Hernandez has ranked ninth in the American League in homers, eighth in OPS and eighth in RBIs since he was recalled from Triple-A in 2019.
He is legitimately one of the better run-producers in the MLB and it can't be understated how much of an impact his return from injury will have on the entire Jays' lineup.
