Dylan Kiskila had quite the MMA experience when he took the cage last Friday. He competed in an amateur bout at Captain’s Fight Club event in Fargo, North Dakota.
He experienced some of MMA's highest of highs and lowest of lows all at the same time. The featherweight bout ended in both a positive and negative.
Dylan Kiskila landed a big head kick that knocked out his opponent during their MMA bout. Unfortunately, his leg wrapped around his opponent's head and caused a fracture in the tibia. This was confirmed by MMAFighting.
I still can’t believe this happened 🤢pic.twitter.com/lPcPHfJkcI

The injury was the same as Conor McGregor's against Dustin Poirier. The leg snapped and both fighters didn't realize it until they tried to plant their foot down in the MMA cage. Dylan Kiskila didn't realize what had happened until he planted his foot on the mat.
MMA can be a cruel sport and Dylan Kiskila had to find that out the hard way. He had the opportunity to walk away with an excellent head kick knockout that would serve as a personal highlight. Instead, he'll remember the night for his gruesome tibia break that went viral on the internet.
Tibia breaks in MMA are usually caused by leg kicks. This was explained by the shin wrapping around the leg and causing a fracture. This doesn't normally happen with head kicks as the legs don't usually wrap around the head.
MMA doesn't like to follow the rules and this was a gruesome example of that. Dylan Kiskila will still have an excellent head kick to look back on.
