Mori Calliope, a member of the first generation of Hololive English, celebrates her 2 million subscriber milestone. She is a Virtual YouTuber, or VTuber, mainly creating content on YouTube. She has also recently released her first full album UnAlive after several singles and EPs.

Mori Calliope

The Grim Reaper's first apprentice. Because the world's medical system advanced so dramatically, Calliope became a VTuber to collect souls. It seems that the lost souls vaporized by the wholesome relationships of VTubers flow through her as well. In the end, she's a gentle-hearted girl whose sweet voice contradicts the morbid things she tends to say, as well as her hardcore vocals.

The same week one of her debut songs, titled “Excuse My Rudeness, But Could You Please RIP?” hit 30 million views, Mori Calliope herself is celebrating her 2 millionth subscriber. It was a huge week for the creator, as her song titled “Q”, which features fellow Hololive English member Gawr Gura, reached 10 million views on YouTube only a little under 2 months from its release.

She celebrated the milestone through a livestream.

Mori Calliope is the second Hololive member to reach this milestone, after the aforementioned Gawr Gura hit it early last year. Overall, Calliope is the third VTuber ever to record the achievement, the first being Kizuna Ai who is universally accepted as the “pioneer of VTubing.”
