During the NBA All-Star game draft, LeBron James was in the last round of the draft. The choice was between Dirk Nowitzki and Dwayne Wade. Who would James select?

James acted as if he would be interested in selecting Dirk, but then laughed it off and selected his good friend Dwayne Wade.

Giannis Antetokounmpo laughed and then took Dirk, the last man standing.

The rest of the draft was a fun time of very unironic selections. James chose just about every major free agent with his top six picks that could play with him in Los Angeles.

He selected Kevin Durant with the first overall pick, Kyrie Irving with the third, Kawhi Leonard with the fifth, Anthony Davis with the fifth, and Klay Thompson with the sixth.

Every single one of these players are free agents in the coming offseason. James knew what he was doing here, and perhaps its all a part of his plan.

The Lakers almost acquired Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans this past week. Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka offered almost every single one of their assets for Davis, including Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, and Brandon Ingram.

Now that the deadline has passed, it will be interesting to see if the Lakers are involved in a possible trade come free agency.

Giannis Antetokounmpo selected a pretty good team himself. His team includes Joel Embiid, Paul George, Stephen Curry, Kemba Walke, and Russell Westbrook. He “traded” Ben Simmons for Westbrook just to put the two together on a team.

They have well-known beef and it will be interesting to see if they'll play nice.
