NBA All-Star Draft

The NBA All-Star Draft has taken place. Los Angeles Lakers small forward LeBron James and Milwaukee Bucks swingman Giannis Antetokounmpo picked from the All-Star roster. This was the first year the draft was televised.

LeBron James took Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant with the first pick. Giannis Antetokounmpo took Warriors star Stephen Curry with his first pick.

Here’s the rest of the starting lineups and rosters for the 2019 All-Star game.

Team LeBron:

LeBron James — Lakers

Kevin Durant — Warriors

Kyrie Irving — Celtics

Kawhi Leonard — Raptors

James Harden — Rockets

Klay Thompson — Warriors

Damian Lillard — Blazers

Russell Westbrook — Thunder *

LaMarcus Aldridge — Spurs

Karl-Anthony Towns — Timberwolves

Bradley Beal — Wizards

Team Giannis:

Giannis Antetokounmpo — Bucks

Joel Embiid — Sixers

Paul George — Thunder

Kemba Walker — Hornets

Khris Middleton — Bucks

Nikola Jokic — Magic

Ben Simmons — Sixers *

Blake Griffin — Pistons

D’Angelo Russell — Nets

Nikola Vucevic — Magic

Kyle Lowry — Raptors

For the special picks in the NBA-All-Star Draft, LeBron James took his buddy, Heat guard Dwyane Wade. Giannis Antetokounmpo was left with Mavs legend Dirk Nowitzki.

The reason there’s a asterisk next to Westbrook and Simmons is because there was a trade in the NBA All-Star Draft. James told Giannis he wanted to trade Westbrook for Simmons so that Giannis could get his wish and have Westbrook and Embiid on the same team.
