If there's anyone who knows about greatness in the NBA Finals, it's LeBron James. The man has been in 10 NBA Finals series and been in the thick of the action with everything on the line.
But the Los Angeles Lakers superstar has been reduced to a mere spectator, just like us. And just like us, he's amazed at what we're seeing from Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo through three quarters of NBA Finals Game 6.
Antetokounmpo has been a man amongst boys in this NBA Finals series, but he has reached another gear thus far in their first potential closeout game. The Bucks star has posted 37 points on a stellar 12-for-21 shooting clip, going off for 20 points in the third quarter alone. He has also added 10 rebounds and three highlight-reel blocks throughout.
Perhaps the most impressive aspect has been Giannis Antetokounmpo's free-throw shooting. Much has been made of The Greek Freak's accuracy from the foul line, virtually his only flaw throughout the NBA Finals. But through the third quarter, he has made a near-perfect 12 of his 13 attempts from the stripe. Win or lose, that's a true champion coming up big on the grandest stage.
The best part is that the game isn't over yet. Giannis Antetokounmpo can only add to his total further, which might draw a few more stunned takes from LeBron James himself.
