The Milwaukee Bucks and Dallas Mavericks had fireworks galore in a much-anticipated NBA matchup. Reigning MVP  Giannis Antetokounmpo and Mavs big man Kristaps Porzingis exchanged highlight reel sequences in the third quarter on Friday night.

Giannis spun right past Porzingis and made the reverse layup late in the third quarter. On the very next play, The Unicorn nailed a three over the outstretched arm of Giannis.

The two superstars have been battling it out all game, and Porzingis might be a little sore considering this is just his second game played this season after recovering from injury. The 7-foot-3 big man has been rusty after having a solid game a couple of days ago in his 2020-2021 season debut.

The Mavericks desperately missed Porzingis athleticism and scoring and rebounding, so having him back is a huge sigh of relief for Rick Carlisle and the Dallas team. With their core players healthy and complete, the team can focus on building chemistry while battling for playoff seeding. As amazing as Luka Doncic is, everyone star needs some high-level support from other stars.

Kristaps Porzingis averaged over 20 points per game as well as 9.5 rebounds in 57 games before his season ended after tearing his meniscus in his right knee, and the Mavericks ultimately couldn't muster enough to make a deep run in the Western Conference playoffs.

The two international big men have a lot to play for this season, as both their respective teams have their eyes set on a championship and dreams of hoisting the Larry O'Brien trophy come summertime.
