Despite getting more than a few ā€œguaranteesā€ wrong, Charles Barkley remains as confident as ever. This time, the NBA legend is ā€œguaranteeingā€ that the Los Angeles Lakers will dominate the Denver Nuggets in their Western Conference Finals series.

Ahead of the Lakers-Nuggets Game 1 on Friday, Barkley exclaimed that the Purple and Gold are going to ā€œkick their ass.ā€

Of course, as the NBA icon noted, the Nuggets will certainly use it as motivation as they try to prove themselves as legitimate title contenders.

For what it's worth, it doesn't look like Charles Barkley saw Jamal Murray's interview after he led the Nuggets to a Game 7 victory earlier in the week. Murray called out Shaquille O'Neal, Chuck and all of their doubters, emphasizing that they should put some respect on their name following their unbelievable run in the 2020 NBA playoffs.

However, while Denver did come back from a 3-1 deficit to eliminate the Los Angeles Clippers in the second round, it is clear that Barkley doesn't believe they have what it takes to beat the Lakers in a seven-game series.

To recall, contrary to the Nuggets' playoff stint so far, the Lakers made easy work of their opponents in the first two rounds. After losing both Game 1s against the Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets, LeBron James and Co. bagged four straight victories in each to advance.

With Barkley's guarantee though, Lakers fans are certainly hoping he didn't jinx it for the team.
