Carmelo Anthony hasn't played in the NBA since November last year, and despite the fact that he's still a capable scorer, it seems that no NBA team is interested in bringing him in. His reluctance to take a backseat and accept a reserve role is one of the reasons why teams are moving away from him, according to his former teammate and now NBA analyst Chauncey Billups.

During his prime, Melo was one of the most unstoppable offensive players the NBA has ever seen. He can easily score 20-30 points on any given night and he had a lot of incredible performances. In fact, you can even argue that in terms of scoring alone, he's in the same class as Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant.

But when the league started integrating to shot 3-pointers more, Melo's game was the one that was severely impacted. Teams would rather see their players constantly pass the ball until someone is open to take a shot from beyond the arc rather than allow a single individual to carry most of the offensive load.

The Oklahoma City Thunder and the Houston Rockets gave Anthony the chance to play his game in each of the past two seasons, but they learned the hard way that it wasn't going to work for their teams. When they asked him to come off the bench, he remained stubborn and both teams had no choice but to let him go.

Carmelo Anthony believes he's not done yet, and maybe he's right. But in the eyes of most teams, his attitude is the problem, not his game.
