Los Angeles Lakers swingman Danny Green has played with both Kawhi Leonard and LeBron James, so if anybody should be comparing the two NBA stars, it should be him.

In a recent interview with Jordan Schultz of ESPN, Green offered a unique perspective in comparing Leonard and James, sharing that they are similar when they are both locked in.

“LeBron is more of a vocal leader,” the NBA veteran said. “Kawhi is more vocal now, but LeBron gets himself going by making the big plays and getting himself going a little bit. You know how Russel Westbrook gets himself going, beating his chest sometimes. Kawhi, not so much, but he's starting to show emotion now the last couple of years.

“But you can tell when he's locked in, and intense. And he'll just tell you, ‘Give me the ball.' Kawhi will be in the huddle more involved in the plays, where he wants the ball and how he wants it. … So it's very similar in that aspect.”

It's no secret Leonard isn't as vocal as James. After all, Kawhi is known to let his game do the talking instead. The two-time Finals MVP has stated before that he likes to stay locked in the game because that's when he plays his best basketball.

Before the NBA hiatus, Lebron James and the Lakers were in first place in the Western Conference with a record of 49-14, way ahead of the second-placed Kawhi Leonard and Clippers (44-20). Nevertheless, there's no denying that Leonard and James have put on a show when playing against each other this season.

For what it's worth, Leonard has shot 75 percent when guarded by James. In contrast, James has only shot 40 percent when guarded by Leonard.

Both teams are heavy favorites to play in the Western Conference Finals if and when the 2019-20 NBA season resumes, and it will surely be a series to remember if it happens.
