Former NBA player Dennis Rodman is involved in another controversy yet again.

Rodman, along with several other individuals, is being accused of stealing $3,500 worth of merchandise, including a 400-pound amethyst crystal from a Southern California yoga store, according to a report by Los Angeles Times.

According to Ali Shah, owner of Vibes Hot Yoga in Newport Beach, California, Rodman and his crew, which includes a former employee of the studio, entered the studio twice this week to steal the merchandise and the crystal. Shah said that they saw everything via the surveillance camera in the establishment, per report.

Shah said that Rodman and his cohorts first went to the studio on Tuesday and distracted an employee so they could execute the crime. One of the other individuals who were with the former NBA star was a woman who stole items and placed them in her purse.

Rodman's crew also claimed the amethyst crystal to be theirs and that they came to the store to pick it up. However, as when one of his accomplices moved the crystal to a hand truck, he accidentally dropped it, which caused $5,000 worth of damages.

When Rodman was asked about the incident, he said in an interview with CBS2 Los Angeles that an employee actually asked him and his friends move the crystal. He said he obliged “being the good man that I am.”

The same thing happened the following day according to Shah. Rodman distracted an employee anew so that one of his associates can steal more items. They were able to do it in 10 minutes.

According to reports, Rodman was under the influence of alcohol when he entered the yoga studio on both occasions.

Rodman denied the accusations in an interview with TMZ.

“They call it a heist, because guess what? That f—ing company, I guess you call it yoga or something? They're broke,”

The Newport Beach Police is already investigating the situation but hasn't arrested Rodman yet.
