During the 2017-18 NBA season, Lou Williams and Donovan Mitchell have been two of the league's pleasant surprises. While Williams has established himself as one of the best sixth men in league history, he is averaging 23.6 points and 5.2 assists. As for Mitchell, he is considered one of the steals of the 2017 NBA Draft as he is averaging 19.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.4 assists.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski and Chris Haynes of ESPN, Williams and Mitchell will be sharing the floor together when they participate in the 2018 NBA All-Star Skills Challenge on Feb. 16 at 5:00 PM PST:

While basketball fans were hoping Mitchell would participate in the 2018 NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest, he will have a busy weekend in Los Angeles as he will be participating in the 2018 NBA Rising Stars Challenge as well. For Williams, he may have an opportunity to participate in the 2018 NBA All-Star Game following DeMarcus Cousins' unfortunate season-ending injury against the Houston Rockets, which would mark his first appearance.

As both players will be recognized for their individual success, both the Los Angeles Clippers and Utah Jazz are looking to make the playoffs in the second half of the season. With the Clippers only a game back of the Denver Nuggets for the eighth and final spot, the Jazz are 4.5 games back in the Western Conference.
