NBA legend Grant Hill was recently inducted into the the Basketball Hall of Fame. Now, just a short while later, the 46-year-old has signed a lifetime endorsement deal with Fila.

Hill is no stranger to Fila. In fact, he was with the popular sneaker company when he entered the NBA in 1994.

“Fila was there for my first professional steps on the court,” Hill tells ESPN in an official statement. “We have now come full circle, and I am thrilled to be a part of the family once again.”

Starting next month, Hill and Fila will look to revive some of the retro variants of his highly sought after signature shoes from the 90s, According to a report from Nick DePaula of ESPN.

Once he joined the NBA, Hill became just the fourth NBA rookie to have a signature shoe deal. His debut “GH1” kicks sold more than 1.5 million pairs during the 1994-95 season — the highest volume sold for a first edition signature shoe since Michael Jordan's “Air Jordan 1” ten years prior. The Grant Hill 2 model did even better on the open market, racking up $135 million in sales.

“Fila is proud to have been a part of Grant's history, partnering with him when he was drafted into the league,” said Jon Epstein, president of Fila North America. “Grant was a tough yet graceful competitor. He possesses a strong work ethic and has demonstrated resilience and perseverance.”

Hill played in 1,025 games over the course of his career in the NBA, racking up averages of 16.7 points on 48.3 percent shooting from the field (31.4 percent from beyond the arc), 6.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.2 steals in 33.9 minutes per outing.
