Rapper and BIG3 founder Ice Cube thinks playing in the BIG3 could help Carmelo Anthony get back to the NBA.

Anthony played in just 10 games this season with the Houston Rockets. Houston exiled Anthony before trading him to the Chicago Bulls on January 22. The Bulls then waived Anthony on February 1. Melo remained on the open market for the rest of the regular season.

Ice Cube believes Anthony should be in the NBA right now and doesn't understand why so many fans turned on the former All-Star. He made his case for why Anthony should enter the BIG3.

Anthony averaged 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds with the Rockets. He shot 40.5 percent from the field, 32.8 percent from beyond the arc and 68.2 percent from the free-throw line. That was his last stint in the NBA to date.

In 2017-18 with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Melo put up 16.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists. It's been a tough few seasons for Melo, who still wants to play in the NBA. There was talk that the Los Angeles Lakers might sign Anthony this season, but after the Lakers were pretty much out of playoff contention, those rumors went away.

It's going to be interesting to see if an NBA team has interest in signing Melo this summer. Carmelo can still score the ball, but he's been inefficient the past few seasons and is getting worse and worse on the defensive end of the floor as he gets older.
