Isaiah Thomas is currently unemployed in the NBA, and apparently some people believe he looks like someone working a typical job. While Thomas hopes to sign somewhere in free agency, the veteran point guard was mistaken for a Nike employee at an airport.

Thomas took to Twitter to tell his quick tale:

Standing at 5-foot-9 and nearly 190 pounds, Isaiah Thomas isn't the same size as most point guards in the NBA. Therefore, he could easily be viewed as someone who doesn't play professional basketball by someone who doesn't watch the sport often.

However, the undersized guard is more than capable of making his presence felt on the court. Thomas is just a few years removed from averaging 28.9 points and 5.9 assists per game with the Boston Celtics.

Sadly, injuries have prevented Thomas from being as effective as he once was in recent seasons. Since 2017, Thomas has spent time with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, Denver Nuggets, and Washington Wizards.

Just this past season, Isaiah Thomas posted 12.2 points and 3.7 assists per game for the Wizards. Of course, he was able to get more playing time due to the injury to John Wall. The point guard was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers and then waived after he played 40 games with Washington.

After his stint with the Wizards in 2019-2020, Thomas is seemingly healthy and ready to contribute for a team next season. Given his ability to score, Thomas should see some interest from multiple teams in the coming months.

For the majority of his life, due to his size, Isaiah Thomas has always been overlooked and not many people would guess he's an NBA player by looking at him. Even though someone viewing him as a Nike employee is disrespectful, Thomas didn't seem to take it personally.
