Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler recently went on an Instagram Live video with WNBA legend Sue Bird and US Women's Soccer superstar Megan Rapinoe. One of the things they discussed was, of course, Kawhi Leonard's epic game-winner against Butler's former NBA team, the Philadelphia 76ers, during Game 7 of the 2019 Eastern Conference Semifinals.

That was one of the most heartbreaking moments in Sixers history, and for his part, Butler did not hold back when he shared what was going through his mind as Leonard's shot trickled in the ring.

“F**k,” Butler said straight up, via ESPN. “The crazy part is when it hit the rim, I was underneath it. I was like, ‘this s**t is going in,” the five-time NBA All-Star shared.

That was pretty much the same reaction of every Philly fan at that point. Jimmy Butler was actually pretty calm, considering how passionate Sixers supporters can get. The pain of that game-winner is not something they will be able to move from anytime soon.

As for Butler, he is now plying his trade with the Heat following an offseason trade last summer. He has since found his form as Miami's main man, averaging 20.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 1.7 steals per contest. The 30-year-old has led the Heat to exceeding preseason expectations, with the team boasting a 41-24 record prior to the NBA hiatus — good for the fourth spot in a wide open Eastern Conference.

Miami team president Pat Riley recently commented that in his mind, the Heat are “close” to winning an NBA championship. There's no denying that Butler is at the very center of this claim.
