Former NBA big man Kendrick Perkins took to Twitter to let everyone know that LeBron James is the most athletic player in NBA history. That's when Boston Celtics legend Bill Russell responded to Big Perk.

Russell, arguably the best center in NBA history, reminded Perkins just how athletic he was during his prime:

Upon seeing Bill Russell's response, Kendrick Perkins apologized to his pal LeBron James because he now believes Russell, and not The King, is the most athletic player ever:

Russell played in 963 games with the Celtics. The NBA Hall of Famer averaged 15.1 points, 22.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists while shooting 44.0 percent from the field. Russell won 11 championships, five MVPs and made the All-Star team 12 times.

No one can dispute the elite athleticism LeBron has. James is 6-foot-8 and 250 pounds. We will likely never see any basketball player built like The Chosen One ever again. LeBron surely had to be made in a lab somewhere because the things he does on a nightly basis are just out of this world.

However, as you can see, Russell was quite the jumper himself back in the day. After all, if you are able to get selected for an Olympic team, you are a transcendent athlete.

NBA fans will get to see LeBron on the court again soon. The 2019-20 season is resuming on July 30 at Walt Disney World. The NBA would have lost over $1 billion if the campaign got canceled altogether.
