Nick Young expressed his support to Jeremy Lin, saying that he should not lose hope despite not getting a new deal from any team this offseason.

Young took to Twitter to encourage Lin to stay positive because there are many people who feel the same way. The veteran shooting guard said that he is also trying to keep his heads up, as he has not played in the league since December last year.

The 34-year-old then lightened the mood by suggesting to Lin to “bring back the dreads,” which the veteran guard sported back in 2017 during his time with the Brooklyn Nets.

Lin recently made headlines when he turned emotional during a press conference. The former Harvard University standout said that he feels that the NBA has given up on him after not getting a contract offer.

“In English there's a saying and it says once you hit rock bottom, the only way is up,” Lin said via Good TV. “But rock bottom just seems to keep getting more and more rock bottom for me. So, free agency has been tough. Because I feel like in some ways the NBA's kind of given up on me.”

Lin split the previous season between the Atlanta Hawks and the Toronto Raptors, respectively. The 30-year-old guard averaged 9.6 points and 3.1 assists in 74 games last season. He won a championship with the Raptors, but he saw limited action in the playoffs. He posted 1.1 points in 3.4 minutes in eight postseason games.
