Ahead of tipoff in their duel on Wednesday, the Denver Nuggets tried to get into the mind of the Los Angeles Clippers by trolling them with Damian Lillard's music.

Per Dave McMenamin of ESPN, the Nuggets played Dame D.O.L.L.A's song entitled GOAT Spirit during warm-ups. Note that this was a day after Lillard exploded for 61 points, perhaps in response to Paul George and Patrick Beverley's trash-talking antics.

To recall, Beverley started talking smack to Lillard after the latter missed two critical free throws in the Blazers' 122-117 loss last week. George double-downed by mimicking Lillard’s hand wave from last year’s walk-off three in the first round of the NBA playoffs against the Oklahoma City Thunder. After the game, Lillard retaliated by reminding Beverley and George how he sent them home in the postseason on different occasions.

The tension between both parties carried onto social media. George said that this year, it's going to be Lillard who'll be sent home. The Blazers guard fired back once again, telling George to keep on switching teams. Lillard even called out basketball analyst Skip Bayless for his earlier comments on him.

Reports reveal that the players' respective family members joined the feud. This caused George and Lillard to squash the beef once and for all. According to them, their dispute was just fueled by their innate competitiveness.

Be as it may, the Nuggets sure created some great entertainment. NBA diehards hardly witness players talking smack to one another. And it's even rarer that another team joins the fun.
