The Indiana Pacers have reportedly discussed a Victor Oladipo trade with the Milwaukee Bucks, per Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer.

Oladipo has one year left on his contract with the Pacers, so Indiana may be shopping the All-Star out of fear of losing him in free agency and not getting anything in return.

How about Victor Oladipo? League sources say the Pacers have talked with the Bucks about a trade involving Oladipo, though at this point it seems unlikely. Oladipo could be acquirable for the right price if the Sixers wanted to bet on a return to his pre-injury form.

The Bucks desperately need another high-level, half-court scorer next to superstar small forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. While Khris Middleton is an All-Star and a capable 20-point scorer, he's better served to be a third option on a title contender.

Oladipo appeared in 19 games for the Pacers in 2019-20. He missed the early stages of the season recovering from the gruesome leg injury he suffered against the Toronto Raptors in January of 2019.

Oladipo averaged 14.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists per contest after coming back. He shot 39.4 percent from the field, 31.7 percent from beyond the arc and 81.4 percent from the free-throw line.

The Bucks need to convince Antetokounmpo they are serious about building a contender around him. Acquiring Oladipo, one of the best shooting guards in the NBA when healthy, would send the right message to the two-time MVP.
