Pascal Siakam and CJ McCollum are two of the hottest players in the NBA, and both stars were rewarded for their efforts by being named Player of the Week.

Pascal Siakam helped lead the Raptors to three wins last week and is one of the biggest reasons why Toronto is an NBA best 12-1 to start the season. Siakam averaged 20.0 points and shot a ridiculous 72.4 percent from the field in Toronto's games last week.

While Siakam was opening eyes in the East, CJ McCollum was dominating in the West. He posted a ridiculous 40 points on 17-for-26 from the floor on Tuesday against the upstart Milwaukee Bucks. After being swept by the Pelicans in the playoffs last season, many believed it was time to break up the Trail Blazers and start over. So far, McCollum and Damian Lillard are leading Portland to a 10-3 record.

McCollum and Siakam could share a unique connection after this season. Siakam is taking a monumental step forward in his development this year and looks like one of the early-season favorites to contend for the Most Improved Player award. McCollum won that very same award in 2016. Oddly enough, McCollum won the award in his age-24 season, and Siakam is playing in his age-24 season right now.

Both players will look to build on this momentum and continue their terrific seasons. The Blazers and Raptors are two of the best teams in the NBA at the moment, and CJ McCollum and Pascal Siakam are huge reasons why.
