Michael Jordan is celebrating his 56th birthday on Sunday, and the sports community has taken to social media to honor “His Airness.”

From the Chicago Bulls and personalities like Mike Greenberg to French soccer club Paris Saint-Germain, outlets around the world are showing love to the man whom many consider to be the greatest basketball player of all time:

Reporter Darren Rovell even tweeted out a picture of Jordan's original birth certificate:

Michael Jordan will celebrate his birthday on the same evening as the NBA All-Star Game in Charlotte. It will be a special night as MJ is the majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets.

Despite his godly reputation as a player, Jordan has drawn far more criticism for his ownership of the organization, dating back to the days of the Charlotte Bobcats.

Jordan acquired the franchise in 2010 and has since made the playoffs in just two seasons.

But much of the celebration of Jordan pertains to the memories of him as a player.

Jordan was often a highlight reel during All-Star Weekend in his playing days. He won back-to-back Slam Dunk Contests in 1987 and 1988, while also winning three All-Star MVP awards.

The Bulls legend was the first player to record a triple-double in the All-Star Game when he dropped 14 points with 11 rebounds and 11 assists in 1997.

Michael Jordan has remained a fixture in NBA circles, and the reverence for the presumed GOAT has been on full display for his 56th birthday.
