DeMar DeRozan and Josh Richardson have been named the NBA’s Players of the Week for Week 12.

DeRozan averaged 29.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists as the San Antonio Spurs went 3-1. Richardson, meanwhile, put up 22.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists as the Philadelphia 76ers went 2-1:

DeRozan and the Spurs are 17-21 on the season. They are in ninth place in the NBA's Western Conference standings. DeRozan is averaging 22.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 38 games while shooting 53.5 percent from the field, 32.0 percent from beyond the arc and 82.7 percent from the free-throw line.

The Sixers, who are 25-15 on the season, are going to be without Joel Embiid for a bit as he recovers from left hand surgery. Richardson, Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris and Al Horford will have to take their games to another level while Embiid is out.

Josh Richardson, in his first season with the Sixers, is averaging 15.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists. The swingman is shooting 43.9 percent overall, 35.2 percent from the 3-point line and 79.8 percent from the charity stripe.

Both the Spurs and Sixers have been in trade rumors lately. There has been talk that San Antonio could move DeMar DeRozan or LaMarcus Aldridge if the team can't climb up the Western Conference standings before the NBA's February trade deadline. The Sixers, meanwhile, are said to be in the market for more shooters and playmakers.
