The Golden State Warriors are NBA champions once again. They defeated the Boston Celtics in six games to claim the fourth title in the Stephen Curry-Klay Thompson-Draymond Green era. While Golden State celebrates its fourth championship in eight years and Stephen Curry relishes in finally winning the Finals MVP trophy, it's not too early to look ahead to next year's NBA championship odds.

At the moment, the Warriors have the best odds of winning the 2023 title, per FanDuel Sportsbook, at +460. The Celtics are next, followed closely by the Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks and LA Clippers.

The Warriors having such high odds is a testament not only to their stars but to the young guys who can keep the machine rolling. The Nets being third after getting swept in the first round shows that they still have better talent than almost any team in the league. The status of Ben Simmons remains to be seen but he will certainly raise their ceiling if healthy.

The 2021 NBA champion Bucks and Clippers are solid bets. Milwaukee could have made it back to the Finals had Khris Middleton not gotten injured. The Clippers could have made it last year if Kawhi Leonard didn't get injured. Both squads are loaded with talent and are led by a superstar.

The Los Angeles Lakers, who began this season with the second-best odds, are 12th following the completion of the 2022 NBA Finals. It's an interesting raking, given that they still have LeBron James and Anthony Davis yet missed the postseason entirely. The Dallas Mavericks have the fourth-best odds among Western Conference teams after making the conference finals.

Of course, the offseason will make these odds look very different. With the NBA Draft and free agency coming up, teams may rise and fall as rosters change and potential big trades commence.
