Saturday night in the Association will feature this elite Eastern Conference matchup! It's time to continue our NBA odds series with a 76ers-Heat prediction and pick.

The Philadelphia 76ers are coming off a huge win over the Boston Celtics Friday night. They controlled the game for the entire night and won 111-99. Philadelphia improves to 24-17 which is good for fifth in the East. The Miami Heat have won four straight and have worked their way up to the 2-seed in the East. They are fresh off of a win over the Atlanta Hawks and are 27-15 on the season. This should be an entertaining game to watch for Saturday night in the NBA.

Why The 76ers Could Cover The Spread

The 76ers are feeling good after a well-played game on both sides of the floor against the Celtics. They have to quickly move on as they play on the very next day. Miami won this game the last time these two teams faced, with Gabe Vincent scoring 26 in the win for the Heat. Miami will also be playing on the second day of a back-to-back. It's been a month since that game and so the 76ers are ready to earn their rematch win over the Heat. Philadelphia is 15-11 against the East and will look to end the Heat's seven-game winning streak at home.

The 76ers are 8-2 in their last 10 games averaging 10 more points per game than they are allowing. That is a good recipe for success. If Philadelphia wants to cover this spread, they need to keep their solid defensive efforts up because they are facing a Heat team that can shoot the lights out. The 76ers need to take advantage of all the injured players for Miami, as Bam Adebayo, Victor Oladipo, and Markieff Morris will all be missing this game with different injuries.

Why The Heat Could Cover The Spread

The Heat are just rolling right now. They have also won eight of their last 10 games and have a seven-game winning streak at home in South Beach. Similar to the 76ers, their offense is putting up around 10 more points per game than they are allowing. That is a good sign for this team that is battling through adversity. They are getting elite shooting numbers from Duncan Robinson and Tyler Herro, who are both playing well this year. Robinson is averaging 11.7 points and Herro is averaging over 20 points per game on the season. With those two, alongside Kyle Lowry and Jimmy Butler, the Heat can be a real problem.

If the Heat want to cover this spread, they need to stop Joel Embiid and make sure the 76ers defense isn't dominant. Miami needs to control the paint somehow and not let Embiid take over. Both teams are feeling good offensively, so it will be on whoever's defense steps up in this one and holds on for the win. The winner of the game will likely cover this spread regardless, so Miami just needs to win by a basket.

Final 76ers-Heat Prediction & Pick

Miami is dominant at home this season, but I am going with the 76ers to win this game on the road. I don't think Miami will be able to contain Embiid and I think he will have a huge night, leading them to a win. Take the over as well as I think both teams will score enough to surpass the over/under here.

Final 76ers-Heat Prediction & Pick: 76ers +2 (-110) & over: 210.5 (-110)
