The Portland Trail Blazers and Golden State Warriors will play in a Western Conference preseason matchup on Friday night. It's time to continue our NBA odds series and make a Blazers-Warriors prediction and pick.

The Blazers and Warriors each come into the season looking for revenge. The Warriors lost in the play-in ahead of the playoffs earlier this year, while Portland lost to the short-handed Denver Nuggets in the first round. Steph Curry could soon have his running mate, Klay Thompson, back in the fold, while Blazers star Damian Lillard gives it another go with Portland after his loyalty was tested this offseason. Both squads will look to continue building continuity with their new teammates ahead of next week's regular season tip-off.

Here's how the bookmakers have set the Blazers-Warriors odds for this Friday matchup.

NBA Odds: Blazers-Warriors Odds

Portland Trail Blazers +6  (-110)

Golden State Warriors  -6 (-110)

Over 226 points (-110)

Under 226 points (-110)

Why The Blazers Can Cover The Spread

Portland will be missing a few key pieces on Friday night. Damian Lillard, Cody Zeller, Nassir Little, Anfernee Simons and Tony Snell will all miss the contest for the Trail Blazers. This obviously puts the Warriors, who are set to have Curry, Draymond Green and most of their regulars available, at an advantage. Portland will be led by C.J. McCollum this evening, and will be a little thin as they are missing players in both the frontcourt and the backcourt. The Blazers still have plenty of capable NBA bodies on track to suit up Friday night, however, so they they still have a great shot to be right in this game with a Warriors team who has yet to get back Klay Thompson.

Why The Warriors Can Cover The Spread

In addition to Thompson, the Warriors will also be without James Wiseman and rookie Jonathan Kuminga. Curry and Green will look to steer the ship tonight, and if they are out there for big minutes Golden State should be in good shape for a cover against the short-handed Blazers. Curry is obviously still the best shooter on the planet, and anytime he's on the court the Warriors are a threat. Green will look to anchor the defense again this season for head coach Steve Kerr, as Golden State looks to put back together their dynasty. Andre Iguodala is back, and Thompson again could be close to a return. Plug in Andrew Wiggins for Harrison Barnes, and you're looking at a group that looks awfully similar to the pre-Kevin Durant Warriors. What remains to be seen is if the Warriors can get back to the level they were at as a budding dynasty five years ago.

Final Blazers-Warriors Prediction & Pick

With rotations being such a variable at this point, just take the over in this game. While the starters are out there, each team should be able to score at a pretty high pace. Depending on if and when each coach pulls the plug on his regular players could determine the outcome of the game, so just take the over and ride it out in this one. I would lean Warriors if I had to choose, but not crazy about laying the points here.

FINAL BLAZERS-WARRIORS PREDICTION & PICK: Over 226 points (-110)
