The defending champs Milwaukee Bucks host the Chicago Bulls on Friday night! It's time to continue our NBA odds series with a Bulls-Bucks prediction and pick.
The Bulls are surging this year and are the No. 1 overall seed in the Eastern Conference right now. They have a 28-15 record and are coming off a win against the Cleveland Cavaliers 117-104. Chicago will have to continue on without point guard Lonzo Ball, as he is now out for the next few weeks with a knee injury. The Bucks are once again one of the top teams in the NBA. They are 28-19 which puts them 4th in the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee is coming off a win over the Memphis Grizzlies 126-114. This has the hype to be a very good game.

Why The Bulls Could Cover The Spread
Chicago is being given a massive amount of points here on the road. It makes sense considering Lonzo ball and Zach Lavine will miss the game. That is still a lot of points for the top team in the conference. If the Bulls are to cover this spread, they will need DeMar DeRozen to continue to play at an MVP pace. Nikola Vucevic will also need to step up because he will be the second option. The Bulls have a huge task at hand, they need to try and shut down Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton, who are on a tear right now.
The Bulls lost four in a row but beat the Cavs last time out. That was a much-needed win for them to keep their 1-seed alive. If they lose this game, however, they will fall out of the top spot in the East. The Bulls are 24-18 against the spread this year which is a really good sign for bettors.

Why The Bucks Could Cover The Spread
It's a big spread, but the Bucks are more than capable of getting it done. Milwaukee has lost three of their last five games which isn't good. They did, however, destroy the Golden State Warriors so that still gives them plenty of motivation to get back to constant winning. The Bucks can beat anyone and might still be the favorites to come out of the East. As for this game against Chicago, the Bucks need to focus on shutting down DeRozen and Vucevic. If that happens, then the Bulls won't be able to climb themselves out of a hole. It's going to take a dominating game for the Bucks to cover, but with the absences to some of the Bulls starters, it's very possible they get it done.

This is a tough choice because the Bulls are a well-rounded team. I do think they can stay in this game, but the Bucks are at home and I feel like they will take advantage of the injuries.
