Check out our NBA odds series for our Bulls-76ers prediction and pick.

The Chicago Bulls are currently 10th in the Eastern Conference and firmly holding onto the last spot of the play-in tournament. The Bulls are playing extremely meaningful games down the stretch and have risen to the occasion with their recent performances. They're winners of four of their last five and will have a huge task ahead of them in facing one of the leaders in the East.

The Philadelphia 76ers are currently battling the Bucks for first place in the East and sit at second place, just 2.5 games back of the lead. They're currently on an eight-game winning streak that began when they took down the Bucks over two weeks ago. Joel Embiid is slowly rising as the favorite to win MVP and has tallied 30+ points in his last nine consecutive games. They'll look to fend off a high-scoring Bulls team in this one.

Why The Bulls Could Cover The Spread

The Bulls are in a tight spot in 10th in the East. These last few stretches of the season will prove to be the most important as they just try to secure a play-in spot. They're playing for a lot on the line and have been motivated by the fact in recent performances. DeMar DeRozan continues to lead the way with his scoring efforts and was able to tally 24 points in their last win behind an all-around team performance. Coby White had 18 points off the bench and Nikola Vucevic grabbed 10 rebounds and a double-double as they calmly handled the Miami Heat. Look for the Bulls to share the rock once again and try to beat the Philly bigs down the court in transition.

The Bulls have split their games at 34-34 ATS on the season. They're a slightly better home team, but have been identified more as a team of runs, both in losing and winning. They're on a solid run right now and have won four of the last five, but will have to search for answers to contain Joel Embiid. They're mismatched down low and will have to work on locking up Philly's shooters to have a chance in this one. Embiid will get his, but it's up to the Bulls to respond by being aggressive on offense and closing the defense on the potential MVP.

Why The 76ers Could Cover The Spread

Joel Embiid continues his tear through the Eastern Conference and will look for his 10th-straight game with more than 30 points as he tries to win his first MVP title. His monstrous totals are translating into Sixers wins and they're in a good position to lead the Conference if they can keep this pace towards the end of the season. The 76ers can look virtually unbeatable if just one of their other players can contribute a big scoring night with Embiid. Last game, Tyrese Maxey matched Embiid's 31-point total as the 76ers won by 20. They beat the Hornets by 39 after Tobias Harris added 18 points to Embiid's 38. If Harden, Maxey, or Harris can find a stroke against the Bulls, the 76ers should win again by double-digits.

The 76ers have been a covering juggernaut at 42-28 ATS. At home this season, they have a 26-10 record SU and have covered to the tune of 23-13. They'll be the taller team and will have a big advantage down low. If Embiid throws his body around, he'll be able to bully Vucevic down low and find scoring wherever he wants. Look for Embiid to kick the ball out as Chicago collapses into the paint. From there, James Harden can look to spread the floor and draw attention from the Bulls' guards. With PJ Tucker most likely out, they'll need a boost in three-point scoring.

Final Bulls-76ers Prediction & Pick

The Bulls have seen some success with their recent team efforts and have been able to handle some of the better teams in the Eastern Conference. However, they're getting this 76ers team at the worst time as Joel Embiid is red-hot right now and poses a ton of matchup problems for the Bulls. The prediction is for the 76ers to win this game handedly at home, but with such a wide spread for a good Bulls team, let's take the over instead as both teams are scoring the ball at will.

Final Bulls-76ers Prediction & Pick: OVER 225 (-110)
