Cleveland Cavaliers +1 (-110)

Charlotte Hornets -1 (-110)

Over 209 Points (-110)

Under 209 Points (-110)

Why The Cavaliers Could Cover The Spread

The Cleveland Cavaliers have not been a rather good team this season and especially of late. They started the year at or around .500 and seemed to have some interesting pieces. Once they traded for Jarrett Allen, we all got the sense that they are on the right path in their rebuild. The trade has translated to some solid defensive play, but this team is just so inefficient on the offensive end. The Cavs rank 30th in total score and 29th in three-point percentage in the NBA. That is not a recipe for success most nights.

Some of the young talent on this team performed well in Cleveland's latest win against Chicago. The backcourt duo of Collin Sexton and Darius Garland has a ton of potential and lit up the scoreboard against the Bulls. Sexton and Garland went for 30 and 25 points, respectively. Kevin Love adds experience and depth to this team that is much needed when he is healthy. Love added 15 points and nine rebounds in the recent win as well. Cleveland has seen success against Charlotte in recent history, going 13-6-1 ATS in their last 20 games head-to-head.

The Charlotte Hornets have had such an unfortunate past few months after starting so strong out of the gate. Charlotte was looking like one of those surprising and exciting dark-horse teams early on. Once LaMelo Ball went down and Gordon Hayward followed, this team lost all of its life. The Hornets are not 1-6 in their last seven games and are plummeting down the Eastern Conference standings. All we can say to Charlotte fans now is to pray for the best this year and look forward to all of the success that can come next.

The Hornets did receive some promising news this week as rookie sensation LaMelo Ball has been cleared to practice and could be available to return as soon as next week. Charlotte's edge in this matchup is their home-court advantage. The Hornets are currently 14-11-1 ATS and play some of the best defense in the league when playing at home. We will lean on the defensive prowess and hope that this team can finally find some offense against a well-below average Cavalier bunch.

Final Cavaliers-Hornets Prediction & Pick

Let's roll with the Cleveland Cavaliers in this pick'em spot. The Cavaliers are healthier, more efficient on the offensive end, and possess much more firepower than the depleted Hornets. We are excited for Charlotte fans to see LaMelo Ball again this season but until that day comes, this team is a big fade. Take the Cavaliers moneyline for better odds.

FINAL PICK: Cleveland Cavaliers +1 (-110)
