The Memphis Grizzlies will head out to the Bay Area to take on the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center. It’s time to continue our NBA odds series and make a Grizzlies-Warriors prediction and pick.

Although both teams have clinched their play-in berths, this game features the first true taste of the postseason. With seeding implications on the line, this battle will determine which team finishes in the eighth spot in the West heading into the play-in tournament. Winning this game means that you get a win-and-in scenario in the play-in, with another life if you lose. The losing club will have to win two straight in the play-in tournament to survive and reach the postseason.

Here’s how sportsbooks have set the Grizzlies-Warriors odds.

NBA Odds: Grizzlies-Warriors Odds

Memphis Grizzlies +5.5 (-110)

Golden State Warriors +5.5 (-110)

Over 230 Points (-105)

Under 230 Points (-115)

Why The Grizzlies Could Cover The Spread

The Grizzlies are roaring their way into the play-in tournament and now have an interesting scenario on their hands. If they win this game, they will play in the win-and-in game in the play-in. Just like their opponent, the Grizzlies' ultimate goal is to win their way into a seven-game series in the postseason.

Memphis has been red hot of late, winning five straight games coming into this crucial affair. The Grizzlies defeated the Sacramento Kings in their last game without their typical starters on the court, too. They've been playing very well as a club on both ends of the floor and the next-man-up approach has worked well for Memphis.

Justise Winslow stepped up in a big way in the recent win with 25 points and 13 boards. If they can get key contributions down the line on a regular basis, this Grizzlies team has enough talent to make some noise and make some team's life miserable in a seven-game series. Memphis is 11-5 ATS in its last 16 road games and will look to continue building on all of this recent success.

Why The Warriors Could Cover The Spread

The Warriors have also been surging of late as they're carrying a current five-game winning streak into this battle with the Grizzlies. Although three of the five wins came against non-playoff clubs, two of the wins came against the Phoenix Suns and Utah Jazz. Defeating the top two clubs in the West in consecutive games had to do a lot for the Warriors' confidence down the stretch.

Golden State is coming off a three-point win against the New Orleans Pelicans in its last game. The win was especially impressive because the Warriors pulled it off with Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins all sidelined. It was Jordan Poole who led the way for Golden State with a career-high 38 points. Golden State will need guys like Poole to shoot well off the bench to alleviate some stress and responsibility from Curry.

Golden State will gladly play host in this game. The Dubs have been far better at the Chase Center this season. At 22-13 ATS at home, the Warriors clearly play a much more efficient game on both ends of the court. They average over 116 points per game on their home floor and Steph's numbers have gone crazy in the Bay.

Final Grizzlies-Warriors Prediction & Pick

As much as I believe the Warriors will win, I'm definitely not comfortable with them giving Memphis over five points in this matchup. The Grizzlies are playing just as well as the Warriors, and one could make the argument that they're the team that possesses more talent from top to bottom. I would take any side wager you want on Steph to go bananas, but give me Memphis to cover this spread in this “playoff game.”

FINAL PICK: Memphis Grizzlies +5.5 (-110)
